The patrons of provincial performing arts

„WE ARE VISIONING SUCH A UNIQUE INSTITUTION, WHICH IS A CULTURE TRANSMITTING CENTRE OF THE REGION’S CITIES: THE TRIANGLE OF KAPOSVÁR-KESZTHELY-SIÓFOK.”

Today's theater is increasingly starting to go beyond the limits of performing arts by opening it to collaborative arts. Recognizing this tendency, the Csiky Gergely Theatre, as the only theatre in the region is defined not only as an artistic but also as a cultural centre.

Introduction

The emphasized task of the theatre is to introduce the actual problems of the 21th century’s intermediate society through the prism of the Hungarian language and identity.

In the coming years, the theatre will define its programme in the spirit of this responsibility, opening its doors to serve the communities and other interest groups that follow and prefer high culture.

Our goal is to make Csiky Gergely Theatre a prominent role the life of Hungarian theatricals: a theatre that is able to break down taboos and preserve traditions while maintaining the same artistic standards.

THE TOWN’S THEATRE – THE THEATRE’S TOWN

The Csiky Gergely Theatre provides a foundation stone in the cultural and community life of Kaposvár and Somogy County and it is the first provincial theatre to be renovated and modernized in the country.
The quality of the theatrical activity raises the standard of life of the town’s population. The renovated building also proves a tourist attraction.
The renewed building incites us to give the theatre a new profile and to attract new potential audiences.
The secessionist building dates from 1911 and, following many intermediate conversions, was completely renovated in 2019, with support from the Hungarian government, at a cost of 9.5 billion forints.
It now boasts the most up to date technology to be found in any of Hungary’s theatres, boasting three stages and commodious areas.
The elegance of the public spaces and the adjacent rooms provide an exclusive environment for receptions.
The theatre building is equipped for prosaic, musical, alternative and interactive productions, whilst also being capable of hosting special events, on or off stage and in its other spaces. It provides a suitable venue for private events, conferences, fashion shows, symposia, product presentations and round-table meetings.

Sustainability – Green Theatre

Thanks to the versatility of the arts, we are creating innovative messages, carrying out projects that were not previously typical of theatres.

For years, the theatre has been committed to environmental awareness and protection. It is looking for partners to implement projects for its unique initiatives in the country. The Csiky Gergely Theatre is suitable for environmental, innovation and technology conferences, shows and large-scale events.

Raising environmental awareness with the help of the artists and the company

The Csiky Gergely Theatre has created a series of videos that convey important messages on environmental awareness.
In these videos the company members share different practices, tips and lifestyle advices to help people acquire environmentally conscious habits.
The artists promote the conscious living by showing their exemplary activities and positive mind-set: presentation and use of alternative energy sources, veganism, eating healthy, lifestyle, sports, recycling.

Social responsibility

The theatre was able to establish an electric car charging station in its personal parking lot in 2021.  It owns an electric car now, and plans to expand the fleet of electric cars in the future.

Environmental awareness and protection of the environment

Selective waste collection
We have been consciously collecting selective waste in our theatre for many years: we have set up waste collection stations inside and outside the theatre, with separate collection points (in line with the city's sorting facilities) for plastic, metal, paper and glass

Renewable energy
The theatre has a solar panel park on the roof of the theatre building, which saves the theatre significant running costs each year.
Use of environmentally friendly and environmentally friendly cleaning products
Energy saving in the utility system (heating, street lighting, conscious planning of the use of energy-saving LEDs in the operation)

A popular and fashionable way of recycling – The poster bag

Csiky Gergely Theatre pays special attention to the issue of sustainability. One tangible result of this is the recycled molo bag, which reflects the theatre's green-minded "Naturally Csiky" objective. The bags, which you can see in the photos of our actors in the hands of the artists, were made by giving new life to the giant molinos in our building. The bags have been transformed into unique, creative objects with a special connection to the theatre's past performances.

The bags feature creative details from the shows, as well as posters from previous performances. They are made with care and creativity by the theatre's seamstresses, so no two bags are exactly alike.

The bags are available for purchase at the theatre's box office, and the proceeds from the sale would be used to purchase a digital interactive whiteboard. This board would be located in the reception area and would provide visitors with useful, meaningful information on arrival. By introducing new technology, the use of paper-based flyers could be significantly reduced, helping the important cause of environmental protection and further strengthening the theatre's commitment to sustainability.

VALUE CREATION – POPULARIZATION - SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

- value, classical beauty, elegance, timeless, prestige -
Dear Future Partner,

Besides the classical theatrical activities, our theatre – with modern technique, professional business management and effectiveness – is looking for a partnership where shared values, communication band together in the beauty, elegance and persistence offered by the theatrical world.

Our mutual agreement will be prestigious from a business perspective as well, since our offer contains unique and customizable elements.

Content of the offer

Giving support for the introduction of products or services, creating and developing brand image in new segments.
Opportunities for personalized marketing, entering individual markets.
The theater can be a tool of internal PR activities. E.g. the company can distribute tickets among its employees for the sponsored theater play. This can be an opportunity to strengthen the loyalty towards the company.
Developing relations with representatives of different sales channels. E.g. a company’s goals may include establishing closer relations with businesses that sell or buy their products. For this reason, companies can sponsor events where they can set up „hospitality” tents or info desks where they can welcome their business partners.
Trade and sales opportunities. E.g. promoting and selling products on theater events.
Increasing the amount of sales by permanent appearances, reaching special references and dispersing negative associations.
Quality support for the businesses own relations by providing special seats on premiere events.
Providing promoting surfaces – flyers, posters, roll-ups, press conferences, social media, digital displays inside the theater.
Cooperated content production – shooting commercials, actors representing brands.
